GoMobile Advertising Expands Out-of-Home Product Line
Through Partnership with Harris Transportation
SEATTLE – GoMobile Advertising (GMA) has just signed a deal with Harris Transportation Company to sell graphic-wrapped ads onto Harris’s line of over 90 fuel tanker and support vehicles, further expanding GMA’s footprint of ad space available for mobile advertising campaigns. Each vehicle provides advertising clients with over 500 square feet of ad space giving them unprecedented exposure on the I-5 corridor as well as highly visible intersections in Puget Sound.
The vehicles will be wrapped in graphics much the same way promotional SUV’s and Metro buses are wrapped with annual contracts and dedicated routes. The vehicles travel up and down the I-5 corridor in Washington and Oregon, making them ideal advertising space for clients with multiple Northwest locations. GMA also plans to wrap trucks in Arizona, an area to where Harris has recently expanded.
The partnership will prove positive for both companies. “We’re in the trucking business, not marketing, but we recognize the potential,” says Brian Harris, the company’s president. “We currently see our vehicles as a blank canvas for GMA. We have seen how successful GMA has been selling advertising on their own vehicles and we look forward to providing their clients with additional advertising opportunities.”
Since launching its state-of-the-art backlit scrolling mobile billboards last fall, GMA has been an instant success, selling-out all their advertising billboards on the first vehicle within 90 days. Their vehicles have continued to remain in high demand prompting GMA to purchase additional vehicles for the Seattle/Tacoma market as well as look for new opportunities in out-of-home media.
GMA will utilize its 40 years of combined experience in advertising sales to market ad space on Harris’s fleet of over 90 modern tanker units, truck-mounted tanks, pull trailers and semi trailers.
“The creative opportunity within this form of out-of-home advertising is limitless,” comments Chris Schuler, President of GMA. “There is so much potential to reach consumers and break through the clutter in new and exciting ways. Partnering with Harris will allow us to further our goal of becoming the premier out-of-home solution to advertisers in the Northwest.’”
Harris agrees: “GMA has launched ideas that have frankly never been done before, and we are very excited to work with them.”
