GoMobile Advertising Lands Distribution Rights for all of North America
after Impressive Expansion into Six US and Canadian Markets in Less than 120 Days
SEATTLE- GoMobile Advertising, LLC (GMA) the home of In Your Face Advertising is pleased to announce they have secured distribution rights for all of North America from MotionAdz the world’s premier Scrolling Mobile Vehicle manufacturer. This announcement falls at the heels of an impressive expansion into five United States markets as well as Toronto Canada in just under 120 days.
“We’ve been so impressed with the expertise shown by GoMobile Advertising and their commitments to this industry,” says Bill Ostergaard, President of MotionAdz. “We are so confident in their experience and integrity that we have turned over our entire sales and marketing division so we can concentrate on manufacturing more advertising vehicles.”
“We’ve been working very hard to make this advertising medium work in this market as well as expand our footprint across the country and Canada, says Chris Schuler, President of GoMobile Advertising. The response from advertisers to this new out-of-home marketing medium has been incredible - We were sold out on our first advertising vehicle in 90 days and eagerly awaiting our 2nd vehicle in March.
“Green means GO! As in GoMobile Advertising, says Schuler, referring to a map above his desk containing green and yellow pins. “A yellow pin represents an inquiry, a green pin represents a new market opening up with a GoMobile Vehicle, says Schuler, who recently had inquiries from Mexico and as far away as South Africa.
We are very pleased at the response from local advertisers,”. “We seem to be filling a niche in the advertising world by providing businesses a creative solution to help them break through today’s media clutter with geographically targeted messages that generate results.”
What are scrolling mobile billboards? Imagine watching a baseball game and you notice a sign behind home plate scroll from one advertiser to another during the game. Now imagine taking that sign and enlarge it to fit a large vehicle. The GMA scrolling system consists of eight billboards that scroll up and down behind a glass window on each side of the GMA vehicle for a total of 24 billboards. The billboards are made of long-lasting vinyl and are designed to scroll every six seconds. Add backlighting, a carefully choreographed strategic route designed to generate the most impressions possible and you begin to understand just how scrolling mobile billboards work.

Recently, NPR (National Public Radio) did a story on mobile billboards concluding that “With TiVo and satellite radio growing in popularity, advertisers are increasingly heading outdoors to reach their target audiences spending $5.8 billion on outdoor ads in 2004 alone…and they're no longer relying solely on highway signs to attract attention… mobile billboards patrol the streets of both small cities and major metropolitan areas.”
“The concept isn’t new,” says Mike Seifert, VP of Sales for GMA. “It has been used since 1993 in Europe and Asia as an effective and inexpensive way to advertise to consumers in a specific target area. We offer a unique alternative to traditional print, radio, TV and outdoor advertising.”
All of the GMA vehicles use GPS (Global Positioning Satellite) technology to provide exact route and location information to prospective clients. “At any given time, a client can log onto our website and see exactly where their advertising message is located,” says Seifert. “GPS provides the opportunity to not only assure our clients that their message is seen, it also provides our drivers with detailed turn-by-turn routing information for the best calculated viewing opportunities.”
The company also uses BioDiesel to power the GMA fleet. “All of our advertising vehicles will operate on BioDiesel, a fuel that is produced from domestic, renewable resources such as soybeans,” says Christian Gerling, GMA’s VP of Operations. “It was important for GoMobile Advertising to embrace a better way to operate these advertising vehicles and together with the BioDiesel industry we hope to promote this new clean burning fuel.”
The principals of GMA have a combined total of 55 years in the advertising and marketing business. Chris Schuler and Mike Seifert are both advertising industry veterans with senior management roles at both Viacom, Inc. and Tribune Broadcasting. Christian Gerling has owned his own Seattle based event marketing and promotion business since 1999 and prior to that managed in-house advertising agencies for both the Tacoma Dome and Detroit’s Olympia Entertainment, a division of Little Caesars, Inc.
“From a sales standpoint we offer the client unprecedented access to today’s busy commuter, going exactly where the consumer is,” says Schuler. “We’re not tied to a certain bus route allowing us to continually target high-traffic areas such as shopping malls and special events, but even more importantly reach the consumer just as they are about to make a purchase decision.”
